The Capital Pinball Pingolf League is back for an 8-week season, and this time, we’re making it even more exciting! With a rolling prize pool, a Mulligan system, and a new PAPA-style scoring format, Season 2 is set to be bigger than ever.
📌 How It Works
- 💰 Entry Fee: Each time a player submits a scorecard, they contribute $1 to the prize pool.
- 🔄 Mulligans: Players may pay $1 for a replay to improve their current week’s score. Replays must be completed within the same week and in the presence of a tournament official.
- 📊 Leaderboard: Scores are tracked across all 8 weeks, with the best performances determining final rankings.
- 🏆 PAPA Circuit Scoring: Points are awarded weekly based on your final placement that week (details below).
- 🚨 Missed a Week? No problem! You’ll just score zero points for that week. But since PAPA scoring is weighted heavily toward top placements, every week is an opportunity to move up in the standings!
📅 When & Where to Play
Players may submit a scorecard or replay anytime within the week (Monday–Sunday) as long as a tournament official is present. Approved playing times include:
- 🎱 Friday night open hours
- 🏆 Any Capital Pinball tournament (as long as it doesn’t interfere with tournament play)
- 🎓 Beginner’s Pinball (every other Sunday)
- 🆕 Tuesday open hours

📊 How Weekly Scoring Works
We are using the PAPA Circuit Scoring System to reward top placements each week. The higher you place, the more points you earn, with a system that looks like this:

💡 Why PAPA Scoring This format rewards players who perform well consistently. Since the top placements earn significantly more points, players are encouraged to replay using Mulligans to improve their weekly standing.
🚨 Missed a week? You’ll receive 0 points for that week. However, since points are weighted towards the top, you can still climb the leaderboard by performing well in future weeks.

If we assume:
- 📅 8-week season
- 👥 Average of 10 players per week
- 🔄 Average of 3 Mulligans per week
Total Prize Pool: 8 × (10 + 3) × 1 = $104
