This September, Capital Pinball launches a brand-new football-themed head-to-head league. Each player “owns” a home stadium (one machine from the Capital lineup) and faces every other player twice: once at home (on your stadium) and once away (on theirs). When you’re home, you choose player order and win exact-score ties.

What is the Pinball Gridiron League?

A competitive, season-long league where home-field advantage matters and every night is fast, focused fun.

Each session: 4 head-to-head matches per player (2 home + 2 away), ~2 hours total.
Season standings: Top 8 advance to a championship playoff night.

Example matchup

  • Jeremy’s stadium = Iron Maiden
  • Courtney’s stadium = Jurassic Park

Game 1 at Jeremy’s place is on Iron Maiden (Jeremy has home advantage).
Later in the season, the rematch is on Jurassic Park with Courtney’s home advantage.

  • League Night: Wednesdays
  • Kickoff: September 3, 2025
  • Start Time: 7:00 PM ET
  • Location: Capital Pinball, 70 Pembroke Rd, Concord, NH 03301
  • Field Size: Exactly 16 players (first-come, first-served; waitlist after 16)

Format & Rules

  • Structure: Double round robin (home/away vs everyone), then playoffs
  • Per Night: 4 matches/player (single-game, head-to-head)
  • Scoring: Win = 1 point, Loss = 0
  • New Flex Rule: One bye week via standings — your lowest weekly score is dropped.
    • Miss one week? It’s your drop (no penalty).
    • Miss more than one? Additional absences score 0.
  • Extra Balls: Off (or plunge/no-flip if a game can’t disable)
  • Stadium Draft: After all 16 are registered, we’ll hold a live draft; each machine can be picked once.
  • Machine Issue: If a home stadium goes down, home player chooses from approved alternates (TD confirms).

Playoffs:

  • Top 8: Single-elimination bracket that night
  • Quarterfinals/Semifinals: Best-of-3
  • Final: Best-of-5
  • Higher seed is home for Games 1 & 3 (and 5 in the Final)

Fees, Prizes & Sanctioning

  • Entry: $40 per player (+ $1 IFPA fee)
  • Payout: Top 4 — 40% / 30% / 20% / 10%
  • Trophies: Awarded to top finishers
  • IFPA: Fully sanctioned; season delivers max points (TGP)
