Medieval Madness (Remake Merlin Edition)

After the smash hit that was Attack from Mars, Brian Eddy and many of the same design team refined the ideas that worked in that game for its spiritual successor, one whose reputation precedes it. Medieval Madness was designed from the ground up to appeal to a wide range of pinball players from ones just starting out to the more experienced. The castle bash toy is key to progression and can score sizable points even if other shots on the playfield are ignored, but the ramps and orbits across the playfield help contribute to a high-scoring Multiball Madness mode that can assist with safety in storming the castle. The machine also has some of the best callout work in pinball with a wide variety of audio. The copy of this game in Capital’s possession is the remake released by Chicago Gaming Company.
