Crescendo

This flower power-themed Gottlieb EM has a very unique bottom half, with no inlanes and rubbers surrounding the outlanes to keep the ball in play. Crescendo also includes drop targets different from the company’s prior releases, where the surface that the ball hits is what drops down instead of the target itself; some Williams releases used these types of drop targets, but this was the first machine by Gottlieb to use them. Like many machines of its era, this game had a 2-player and 4-player version; Groovy is the 4-player version of this machine and is slightly more common. Uniquely, the machine also has a single-player version called Psychedelic, which produced even more copies than either the 2-player or 4-player version.
