Blackout

The second of two space-themed Williams machines released in 1980 (the first being Firepower), Blackout made similar strides in pinball machine design by being the first Williams machine to include computer-controlled GI lighting. The machine features three target banks – one green, one yellow, and one red – with the goal being to complete all three and light the saucer for blackout, doubling the lit score awards at the saucer. Strong shots to the left spinner loop around the back of the game and count as orbit shots, making this one of the earliest (and deadliest!) examples of a full orbit in pinball.
