Grand Lizard

Designed by Barry Oursler, Grand Lizard is a unique take on the two-level pinball machine in that there isn’t a second level, just an extension of the main playfield that can only be accessed using orbit shots. Lock balls at the cave and release them either by locking 3 balls there, or shooting the upper right target, to start multiball with scoring based on the number of balls in play, where points can quickly increase with repeated shots to the spinner and the center 4-bank of drop targets. Grand Lizard was Williams’ first pinball machine to include background audio. Bill Parod, the creator of the soundtrack for High Speed, contributed tribal motifs to this game’s soundtrack as well.
